Prof. Dr. Dumitru Baleanu was born December 4, 1964 in Romania. He completed his undergraduate at Craiova University, Faculty of Science, Physics Department in 1988. He received his master’s degree in 1989 and his phD in 1996 at University of Bucharest. He became Associate Professor in 2001 and Professor in 2006. His academic domain includes mathematical physics and applied mathematics. He has been working at Çankaya University and he is an adjunct professor at Near East University.

BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES. Sir Ruggero M. Santilli obtained his Ph. D. in theoretical physics at the University of Torino, Italy in 1965; he then emigrated to the U.S.A. in 1967 where he was on the faculty of the University of Miami, Boston University, MIT, and Harvard University under financial support from NASA, UFOSR and DOE. In 1991 he accepted the position of President and Professor at the Institute for Basic Research in Florida. He is the author of 345 papers published in refereed journals and twenty post Ph. D. monographs in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology; he is the Editor of a number of scientific journals in mathematics and physics and was awarded twelve U. S. patents. He is internationally known for developing new mathematics (known as Lie-admissible, Lie-isotopic and isodual mathematics) for the construction of hadronic mechanics, chemistry and biology, and for the verification of the 1935 Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen argument that "quantum mechanics is not a complete theory." These discoveries lead to the prediction of new technologies, incompatible with quantum mechanics but fully compatible with hadronic mechanics, which he developed as Chief Scientist at various U. Dr. Omid Akbarzadeh Pivehzhani is working with Nanotechnology and Catalysis Research Centre since 2016. His main research area is heterogeneous catalysis and catalytic reaction engineering. He has spent 10 years in academic-industrial projects as a research officer and post-doctoral. Dr. Omid has worked 5 years in the oil and gas industry as a chemical engineer. He developed advanced smart catalysts, especially for the oil and gas industries. Dr. Omid has contributed to two PETRONAS Research Sdn Bhd industrial catalyst projects and worked on an international Airbus R&D project in NANOCAT. Currently, he is the PI of the graphene catalyst project at Hokkaido University in Japan, project member of FRGS grant in UTP and assigned to the NANOCAT center project. Dr. Omid was the Chairman, keynote speaker and organizing committee of many international conferences. He is currently the supervisor of three Ph.D. students from different countries. He has published many ISI papers; book chapters and has two approved and granted patents. Also, he has hands-on experience and passed several pieces of training on handling different types of equipment which are being widely used for material synthesis, characterization and performance evaluation. Dr. Hua received his master's (2005) and doctoral (2009) degrees in biomedical engineering and electrical engineering at the Johns Hopkins University. His doctoral training centered on the development of novel MRI technologies for in vivo physiological imaging in the brain, such as protein content and cerebral blood volume. After completing a post-doctoral fellowship in the Department of Radiology at the Johns Hopkins University from 2009 to 2010, Dr. Hua became a faculty member in the Department of Radiology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Kennedy Krieger Institute. Research Summary: Dr. Hua’s research has centered on the development of novel MRI technologies for in vivo functional and physiological imaging in the brain, and the application of such methods for studies in healthy and diseased brains. These include the development of human and animal MRI methods to measure functional brain activities, cerebral perfusion and oxygen metabolism at high (3 Tesla) and ultra-high (7 Tesla and above) magnetic fields. He is particularly interested in novel MRI approaches to image small blood and lymphatic vessels in the brain. Collaborating with clinical investigators, these techniques have been applied 1) to detect functional, vascular and metabolic abnormalities in the brain in neurodegenerative diseases such as Huntingdon’s disease (HD), Parkinson’s disease (PD), Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and mental disorders such as schizophrenia; and 2) to map brain functions and cerebrovascular reactivity for presurgical planning in patients with vascular malformations, brain tumors and epilepsy.
